Naturally Aspirated Mechanical Injection 3.059L 4JG2 Diesel Engine Assembly Complete Engine for Isuzu Trooper Bighorn Rodeo TF

The 4JG2 is Isuzu's mid-displacement four-cylinder diesel platform, evolved from the earlier 4JB1 / 4JG1 series and engineered for light off-road use, commercial delivery, forklift material handling, and small stationary industrial power. This complete naturally aspirated mechanical diesel engine assembly is compatible with Isuzu Trooper, Bighorn, MU, Wizard, Rodeo, and TF Pickup chassis applications.

The base NA version uses a thick cast-iron cylinder block and cylinder head, replaceable dry cylinder liners, a five-main-bearing forged steel crankshaft, forged connecting rods, a gear-driven overhead valve train with pushrods and rocker arms, and a gear-driven mechanical injection pump with mechanical governor.

The non-turbo configuration uses a plain flat exhaust manifold without a turbo flange, a standard non-boost piston assembly, no turbo oil inlet or return pipeline, and no electronic sensors or control modules. It has fewer vulnerable parts, lower maintenance cost, and strong tolerance to low-grade diesel, with stable linear low-to-medium speed torque suitable for flat-road delivery, short-haul shuttle, forklift duty, and continuous stationary equipment operation.

Replacement fit for light commercial, off-road, and industrial chassis compatible with the non-turbo 4JG2 powerplant. Reference production year range: 1992–2004.
