Product Overview

The LF is the classic naturally aspirated gasoline engine of the Mazda MZR series — a 1999cc inline four-cylinder passenger car power platform. It is built with a lightweight integrated all-aluminum cylinder block and cylinder head, cast iron cylinder liners, replaceable metal gaskets, a reinforced crankshaft and piston/connecting rod assembly, a chain-driven 16-valve DOHC valve train, and an electronic multi-point fuel injection system with ECU. The engine is equipped with S-VT sequential variable valve timing on the intake camshaft.
