Engine Overview

The 4D32 belongs to Mitsubishi's classic D-series light-duty four-stroke industrial diesel engine. Constructed with a thick cast iron cylinder block and gear-driven OHV 8-valve cylinder head, it features a simple mechanical inline fuel injection pump without any electronic control components.

The fully mechanical design provides ultra-low maintenance costs and strong tolerance to low-grade diesel fuel, with reliable low-speed torque suitable for frequent start-stop urban delivery, passenger shuttle, and continuous light construction load conditions. Widely used as replacement power for second-hand light commercial vehicles and mini construction machinery across global emerging markets.

Important Notice: Four core D-series engines (4D30 / 4D31 / 4D32 / 4D34) with non-interchangeable core & peripheral parts: cylinder block, crankshaft, piston set, fuel pump and engine mounting brackets cannot be swapped mutually. Two dedicated configurations for 4D32: light truck / mini bus version and small excavator machinery version. Cooling fan bracket, flywheel housing, clutch housing and mounting foot layout differ greatly between vehicle and machinery use, peripheral accessories cannot be directly interchanged.
