How to debug diesel engine injection pumps
After the assembly of the injection pump with the governor assembly, it should be debugged on the injection pump test bench, and the performance must meet the requirements of the regulations. The pre-stroke of the first cylinder is achieved by adjusting the height of the bolts adjusted by adjusting the pre-stroke of the first cylinder of the injection pump, according to the order of fuel supply of each cylinder, the static oil supply angle is 60 degrees, and the error is ±0.5 degrees, which is achieved by adjusting the consistency of the pump adjustment bolts.
First, push the adjustment rod to the end and fix it, use a screwdriver to loosen the locking screw on the adjustment ring, use a screwdriver to touch the small hole in the sleeve to control the amount of oil, and tap the screwdriver to rotate the sleeve at an angle to increase or decrease the amount of oil supply; Adjust successively until the oil supply is uniform to each cylinder, and then tighten the locking screws. The injector injection pressure of the new part of the air-cooled diesel engine is high. For the direct injection injector, the injection pressure requirement of the new part is adjusted to 18.0-18.8MPa, and the injection pressure requirement of the working injector is adjusted to 17.5-18.3MPa; Eddy current chamber injector, the new part is 12.0-12.8MPa, the working is 11.5-12.31MPa, this situation is because the new part after the installation of the work, the injector components to carry out the initial run-in, the injection pressure will soon be reduced to the normal working pressure value, so it is necessary to adjust higher. In addition, it should be noted that when verifying the injection pressure value, the new injector should not be adjusted according to the injection pressure value at the time of operation, but should be adjusted according to the injection pressure value required by the state of use.
Second, when debugging the overhaul fuel injection pump in use, the following points should be paid attention to: regularly check the oil supply advance angle and the oil supply interval angle of each cylinder. In use, due to the loosening of the coupling bolts of the coupling, the wear of the camshaft and roller body components often leads to changes in the oil supply advance angle and the oil supply interval angle of each cylinder, so that the diesel combustion becomes bad, the power and economy of the diesel engine become worse, and the start is difficult, the operation is unstable, and the abnormal sound and overheating are issued. In actual use, most of them pay attention to the inspection and adjustment of the overall oil supply advance angle, but ignore the inspection and adjustment of the oil supply interval angle (involving the adjustment of the oil supply angle of the single pump), resulting in the overall adjustment, although the first cylinder is oil supply timing, but the rest of the cylinders due to the wear of camshafts, roller transmission components and other reasons make the oil supply not necessarily timely, which will also lead to diesel engine start difficulties, insufficient power, and unstable operation, especially for the injection pump with a long use time, more attention should be paid to the inspection and adjustment of the oil supply interval angle.
 
Third, regularly check the camshaft clearance, the axial clearance requirements for the fuel injection pump camshaft are very strict, generally between 0.03- 0.15mm, the gap is too large, will aggravate the impact of the roller transmission components on the working surface of the cam, thereby increasing the early wear of the cam surface, changing the angle of oil supply advance; Camshaft bearing shaft diameter clearance is too large, easy to cause the camshaft operation is not stable, the amount of oil adjustment tie rod jitter, the amount of oil supply periodical changes, so that the diesel engine operation is not stable, so it is necessary to check and adjust regularly; When the axial clearance of the camshaft is too large, a gasket adjustment can be added on both sides; The radial clearance is too large and should generally be replaced.
Fourth, regularly check the oil supply of each cylinder, due to the wear of the plunger coupling and the oil outlet valve coupling, resulting in diesel internal leakage, will make the oil supply of each cylinder reduced or uneven, resulting in diesel engine start difficulties, insufficient power, increased fuel consumption, unstable operation. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check and adjust the fuel supply of each cylinder of the injection pump to ensure the exertion of diesel engine power. In actual use, the size of the oil supply of each cylinder can be determined by observing the exhaust gas of the diesel engine, listening to the sound of the engine, and touching the temperature of the exhaust manifold.
